Privacy & cookies
This applies to our public sites — a2acloud.io, blog.a2acloud.io, and docs.a2acloud.io. We keep tracking minimal and gate it behind your consent. Your choice is remembered across all three.
Your choice
On your first visit we ask whether to enable analytics cookies. Before you choose, we run cookieless measurement only: page views and clicks are counted with a temporary identifier that lives for one page view, is never written to your device, and cannot recognize you across pages or visits. Nothing is stored in cookies or local storage. If you Accept, we additionally set the analytics identifiers described below. If you Decline, all analytics stops — including the cookieless counting. Your decision is stored in a single cookie on the .a2acloud.io domain so it carries across our sites, and lasts about six months.
What we collect
- Always (unless you decline): cookieless page-view and click counts via OpenPanel, with nothing stored on your device.
- Only after you accept: anonymous usage and session insights to find broken flows and improve the product.
- Only after you accept: campaign attribution (e.g. UTM parameters) remembered across visits so we understand where visitors come from.
We do not sell your data, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
Cookies we set
- a2a_consent — remembers your accept/decline choice (essential; always set once you choose).
- a2a_attr_first / a2a_attr_latest — first and latest campaign attribution (analytics; only after Accept).
- An anonymous id in your browser's local storage to de-duplicate analytics events (only after Accept).
Change your mind
You can accept or decline again at any time — this reopens the chooser. Declining stops analytics from loading on your next page view; you can also clear cookies for a2acloud.io in your browser.
